The search for a mascot was on for a long time and our creative team came up with many ideas. One suggestion was to even use the cartooned caricature of the founder as mascot. But eventually we settled for this one. Although we have come up with many good reasons for using a butterfly as our mascot below are the primary reason behind the choice :
Our company is in its Growth stage. This is period when we change from a crawling caterpillar to a flying butterfly. Today when the world looks at us, we are a small company based out of a small town working on small projects. But then there is nothing in the caterpillar that tells you that It will become a beautiful butterfly someday. So as we expand and do more beautiful work, we will eventually be transformed into a lovely butterfly with varied colors. Pretty soon we will not be the small company from a small town, but a big company in big world.
Another reason for choosing this mascot was based on what is called as “The Butterfly Effect” in chaos theory. Wikipedia defines butterfly effect as : “The butterfly effect is the sensitive dependency on initial conditions in which a small change at one place in a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.” Simply put it describes how small changes to a seemingly unrelated thing or condition (also known as an initial condition) can affect large, complex systems. The term comes from the suggestion that the flapping of a butterfly’s wings in one part of the world could affect the weather miles way in another part. We at SunnyZ World believe that whatever small work we do will eventually have a lasting impact on the world. No matter we do simple websites for simple businesses, this flapping of our wings will cause hurricanes of success and growth and prosperity all around the world.
Having said that the main and actual reason we choose this mascot was that it looks cute and gives a positive vibe.
From now on our mascot has a name – Mr. Bitrufly. He has a personality of his own, various roles and versions.
You can know what he has to say on twitter (https://twitter.com/bitrufly).
